Food & Drink walking tours In London. Discover the East End of London.

Walking Food & Drink Tours In London are a must. Walk Eat Talk Eat's East London food tour was the first one in the area. We now cover the South and West of London too. We've had thousands of customers along, shared zillions of stories and are close to serving up our 3000th salt beef bagel. We run our East End Tour all through the week and on the weekends that's when we hold our Hidden Gems and Portobello Tales tours. Why East London? Because the food is amazing, there's so much history to share and our tour guides have lived in those areas, so they know them inside out and love sharing their local haunts. I myself have lived in London now for over ten years and I can safely say this city still surprises me with all its hidden secrets old-and-new. What I believe gives us that unique essence is that myself and our tour guides ( even in our spare time ) go in search for new cuisines to be tasted and explore hidden bits of London's history waiting to be spoken about all for you.

We joined the Hidden Gems tour, which ended at Borough Market, as a family group (two couples + one nearly four year old) and had a brilliant day out. The tour is not *just* a food tour and also includes lots of interesting information about the areas you visit, which are a little off the usual path. The food stops were a great mix of brilliant versions of classics (fresh pasta, coffee, cheese) and more adventurous stops for food you may not have tried before (on our tour this was Venezuelan and Iranian). We have definitely found some places we will revisit! Our tour ended up being just our group, which worked out really well with our younger member. Eddie was very patient with our slower pace as a result of this. We would definitely recommend this as a great option for a day out in London, though the East End tour may (just) remain our favourite as it covers an area we knew less about. We look forward to joining again for the Notting Hill/ Portobello tour in the future! Thanks again Eddie :)

This was a trip for a group of 27 GCSE students and was split into 2 groups. Eddie and his colleague met us at true agreed location and walked us round the Spitalfields market and Brick lane area. The history and knowledge was fascinating and the food stops were organised and high quality food included in the price. The pace was good and the pupils were all engaged in the tour and the food. Huge thanks to Eddie and a highly recommended tour for schools and / or a family day out!!

I did this food tour with my dad. We stopped at a good variety of places in the East End covering a good variety of types of cuisines. We are both pescetarian and Eddie made sure we still had lots of options. This would also be a good tour for vegetarians. Drinks are included in the tour which is a nice plus. Eddie told us lots of interesting facts about the history of the area and also pointed out lots of street art, including a few Banksy pieces. The East End is one of my favorite parts of London, and I would definitely recommend this tour (especially if it's your first visit to the area).

Having visited London a number of times we were looking for something different to do so booked on the East End walking food tour. We have been on quite a few food tours in various cities while travelling but never one in the UK. I'm so glad we decided to book this one. It's been one of the most enjoyable, relaxed and tastiest ones we have been on. Eddie our guide was fantastic and engaging. His knowledge, stories and interactions really made it and the food we sampled was outstanding. Next time we are back we will definitely be booking again and I'll be sure to recommend to friends. Thanks again for a wonderful day.

We had the best tour round the Brick Lane and the East End of London with Eddie! He was really knowledgeable and showed us places that I'm sure a lot of locals don't even know about! The various types of street art he pointed out were amazing and the food was just delicious. He even had one of the eateries produce a truffle with a candle on as it was my sister's birthday. Thank you Eddie for a truly memorable experience and I would highly recommend the tour to anyone.

We took a food tour in portobello market and it was lovely, the guide was very interesting and friendly. We learned about the history of the neighborhood while sampling different authentic foods. In one of the stalls the food was delayed so he bought us a cup of coffee while we waited and one of our planned stops was in a deli which was unfortunately closed so he found a solution by bringing us food from a different equally delicious place. Overall it was a fun day of strolling in the market, Eating good food and having interesting conversations over a glass of gin and tonic. Definitely recommend, the guide is a really cool guy and interesting to talk to.

Our tour with Eddie discovering the hidden gems of East London was a treasure in itself! Eddie is an engaging, knowledgeable and fun guide with great jokes, encyclopedic knowledge and the ability to read what the group needs. We loved all the locations we went to and had so much fun with Eddie along the way - it felt more like a groups of friends doing a food/pub crawl than a formal tour! In addition, Eddie is the consummate professional, very responsive in the lead up and on the tour date and was able to accommodate our additional requests. He responded to all my notes quickly and it made the whole process very smooth. A wonderful tour from start to finish and I could not recommend Eddie and his tours/guides more.

The Walk Eat Talk Tour was a wonderful end to my London holiday. I've spent time in city before but this was a unique experience I'd recommend for anyone looking for amazing eats and a chance to learn along the way. Eddie was full of stories about the East End history and had plenty to share about the neighborhood's eccentricities. I'll certainly take another one of the tours the next time I'm in the city.

I can't recommend a tour with Walk Eat Talk Eat enough. My girlfriend and I did the Portobello Tales tour on a wet Sunday afternoon but as soon as the tour began, we forgot about the rain! Eddie was out tour guide, and he made the experience extremely insightful and fun, plus the food was incredible. The tour ran smoothly, and this was down to the fact Eddie has been to each stop before hand to ensure tables were reserved and queues were skipped! I spend a lot of time in London with work, but it was great to see the city from a different perspective and discover hidden gems such as the Liberte Cherie, a shop I will certainly be visiting again soon. Thanks Eddie for a fantastic day!!

Eddie's East London Food tour is a wonderful combination of eating, learning, modern art and quirky London history! We signed up because we are food lovers and wanted to experience an area we didn't know well, namely East London. We were thrilled by the variety of cuisines and flavours we got to try but also impressed by Eddie's stories of life in London both historic and modern. We had a great time on this tour, ably guided by the friendly, charming and knowledgeable Eddie. We’ve been on food tours in several cities and this was our favourite- for the quality and variety of the food (Spanish, Jewish, and Bangladeshi, not to mention the chocolate and the beer!) the fascinating snippets of East End history and the generally friendly and relaxed approach of our host. I would certainly recommend it to visitors and Londoners alike. Bring comfy shoes and consider the 3hrs suggested for the tour to be a minimum estimate- I think it was nearly 4 hrs before Eddie persuaded us all to go home! Thank you Eddie and our Scottish companions for making it a day to remember.

Having never been on a food tour I really wasn't sure what to expect. However after today, Eddie our amazing guide has set such a high standard for any further food tours. Eddie was friendly, welcoming and full of amazing and interesting facts. How he remembered everything is beyond me! I'm the type of person who eats the same things. Today I sampled things I'd never order on a night out of fear I wouldn't like them but they were all outstanding, some of the best food I've ever tasted. The food was superb! I can't go on enough about Eddie, simply outstanding! Such a lovely bloke, so lovely we ended up staying on longer then intended chatting. At each place we stopped Eddie would fill us in with facts and stories from Banksy to Queen Victoria's Wedding dress. At some stops Eddie would introduce us to the people working there and they would chat to us about the food, how it was made and the general history of the place. Our last stop was a beer place, the only stop where I didn't like the sample, however the guy who ran the shop was so welcoming and told us some excellent information that I could have stayed for hours listening to him, even though I'm not a beer drinker. He did offer me several other drinks which was kind and I did sample a few beers. Overall a brilliant day! Would highly recommend! 5 stars! Thanks Eddie for an excellent day, something totally different! Lisa & Fraser

Had a great tour around Notting Hill with Eddie who was so knowledgeable about the area. All the stops we did were excellent from starting with spicy chicken in a pita bread to tasting toffee, a Venezuelan pancake with beef and cheese, gin & tonic, cardamom bread, chocolate and finally a special brownie. I was completely stuffed after the trip but it was so interesting and I really enjoyed listening to everything Eddie could tell about the area. Can only highly recommend this tour and hope I can join one of his other tours another day.
